Srinagar, Jan 23 (KNO): In a bid to enhance road safety awareness, the Traffic Police Srinagar and a group of High Court Lawyers Thursday held a joint traffic awareness march in Srinagar. The march started from the Srinagar High Court premises and later culminated at Moulana Azad (MA) Road Srinagar. According to the details collected by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the initiative aims to make the public aware about the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations. Officials from Traffic department Srinagar, present during the march, noted the need to curb traffic violations and asked for public support and curbing violations. “We believe that by working together with the community, we can significantly improve road safety,” said a senior official from the Traffic department. He said this march is also important and hopes it will encourage citizens to be more responsible. Meanwhile, local residents also expressed their comments for joint effort, saying this is commendable initiative. “We often witness reckless driving and disregard for traffic rules.
